Limestone College would like to update you on our current issues involving Blackboard.

As many of you are aware, multiple Limestone College online courses were recently removed from Blackboard’s site, although the deletions were not authorized by or conducted by Limestone College staff.

We have been diligently working to find out the cause of this problem and to restore the courses to the site. Blackboard is aware of the issues and working with Limestone to resolve this matter as quickly as possible.

Limestone and Blackboard have collaborated to discover an isolated safety breach on the Blackboard site that allowed the courses to be removed. There is no reason to believe that any private records were viewed or obtained during this limited breach. It has been, however, a very inconvenient occurrence for our faculty, staff, and – most importantly – our students. For that, we wholeheartedly apologize.

We are now working with Blackboard to restore the courses as quickly as possible, while also communicating with Blackboard so that such unfortunate events do not take place in the future.

We appreciate your patience and your understanding.

Thank you,

Limestone College
