Limestone College seeks to help persons achieve holistic, balanced lives.
To that end we maintain a college chaplain as a member of our staff. The Reverend Ron Singleton serves as our College Chaplain, as well as Director of our Christian Education and Leadership Program, and as an Instructor of Religion.
How will I get through this?
The college chaplain is a resource for students, faculty, and staff regarding spiritual matters. While trained in and committed to the Christian tradition, the chaplain is available to counsel, encourage, and guide persons from all traditions (or no tradition) without attempting to convert them to a particular way of believing.
The chaplain enables and encourages the formation of relationships between students and local churches through events like the cookout held at each Freshman Orientation, and involvement in the Gaffney community through service with local mission organizations such as Habitat for Humanity.
The chaplain offers the invocation at Graduation and other campus events, and conducts weddings and memorial services or funerals as requested or needed.
The chaplain serves, as requested, as counsel and advocate for victims and/or transgressors.
The Chaplain's Office is located in Dixie Lodge, Room #304, and is available at campus extension 8274 or from off campus by dialing (864) 488-8274 or during off-hours by dialing (864) 490-8735.
