High Energy iPan Band in Concert Tuesday
Steel_Drum_Band_webThe iPan Steel Drum Band of Limestone College will present a free concert this Tuesday, November 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the College's Fullerton Auditorium. Everyone is invited to attend. The concert will be filled with classic popular songs known to many.

The iPan Band has performed during numerous Limestone-related events as well as in the community. The high octane atmosphere generated during the performances is a reflection of the synergy developed between the audience and the 12-member band.

"We do a lot of jumping around in our performances because, quite frankly, we're having a ball playing these fantastic steel drums," said Dr. Douglas Presley, Associate Professor of Music Education at Limestone and Director (member) of the iPan Band. That enthusiasm is infectious and quickly envelops the audience. "Before you know it, both the audience and the band are feeding off each other's energy. It's quite an experience."

The steel drums used by the iPan Band were hand-made in a family-owned shop in Trinidad and delivered to Limestone in October 2010.
