Limestone to Host Exhibit of Graphic Arts

On Monday, February 15th, Limestone College will open an exhibit of recent graphic arts by Rich Ponder in the college's A.J. Eastwood Library Art Gallery. The exhibit will run through March 12th. A reception for the artist will be held in the gallery on Sunday, February 21st from 1-2:30 p.m. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

A native of nearby Cowpens, S.C., Ponder was educated at the College of Charleston and Savannah College of Art and Design. He then moved to Orlando, Fla. to begin his professional career at Fotozines, an international graphic arts company. He later worked with industry giants Disney World, Warner Brothers, Twentieth Century Fox and Sony.

Works by Ponder, who has since returned to Cowpens to concentrate on his own projects, can be seen in various galleries in the Upstate region of South Carolina.

Ponder's professional activities include serving as a board member for Cherokee Alliance of Visual Artists and a member of the Spartanburg Artists Guild.
