Limestone Officials Visit Charleston, SC; Aim for Alumni Chapter in the Holy City

With over 1,500 Limestone College among its populace and a plethora of world-class meeting sites, Charleston, South Carolina is an ideal location for a flourishing chapter of the College's Alumni Association. During the weekend of November 14, Limestone President Dr. Walt Griffin and K.C. Barnhill, Director of Alumni and Parent Programs, visited with alumni in the Holy City.

"We had a very productive meeting with about 55 alumni and their families at the Rendezvous Bar and Grille," said Barnhill. "Charleston is a city that has all of the ingredients for a successful alumni chapter that brings Limestone graduates closer to their alma mater."

Also during the visit, President Griffin provided a State of the College report and the group enjoyed a pre-game dinner before venturing to the Charleston Southern Fieldhouse to take in the Lady Saints basketball game against the Buccaneers.

Barnhill says that the trip is the first of what will hopefully become many to the Holy City. "We definitely want to strengthen our presence in Charleston and are looking for an alum to step forth to provide leadership."
