Forwarding Mail

During the summer break your mail will be automatically forwarded to your home address. If you leave school during the semester your mail will be forwarded once notification has been received. If you are remaining on campus during the summer break, you will need to contact the Mail Center; otherwise all of your mail will be forwarded to your home and intra-campus mail is returned to the sender if the address is provided. All first class and priority mail, USPS (United States Postal Service) packages and subscription magazines will be forwarded. Newspapers, catalogs, media mail, CD’s, bulk mail and presorted standard mail cannot be forwarded. UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc. cannot be forwarded. Packages for a student who is returning each semester that cannot be forwarded will be held, processed, and an email notice will be sent to the student’s Limestone email when the package is received and again prior to the start of the semester. Graduate (May and December) mail will be forwarded to their home addresses. It is the responsibility of the graduate to inform all correspondents (banks, magazine, newspaper subscriptions and family) of their new address. This also applies to any student who leaves Limestone College permanently.

Forwarding International Mail is not permissible
The Campus Mail Center will hold mail for returning International Students. The Campus Mail Center must be notified by email that the student wants his/her mail to be held until they return to campus. If not returning to Limestone College, all mail will be Returned To Sender. It is up to the international student to notify banks, magazines, etc. when their address will change. The Campus Mail Center is not responsible for international mail that is sent to the student after he/she is no longer at Limestone College. Again, all mail will be returned to sender. The exception to this is when the international student stays in the United States. We can forward his/her mail to an address in the United States, if they alert the Campus Mail Center.

Mail is forwarded for 90 days only.

New Address Notification
It is the student’s responsibility to notify senders of his or her new address within the 90-day period, which commences with their departure from campus.

Mail Forwarding Restrictions
Only the Post Office can accept forwarded mail. Anything received via FedEx, UPS, Airborne, DHL, or other non-postal carriers cannot be forwarded. All accountable items received for persons no longer on campus will be returned to sender without exceptions.
