Color Guard Director (#413)

The Limestone College Athletic Band program invites applications for an immediate opening for a Color Guard Director.  This position is housed in Gaffney, SC.

Job Overview- Under the supervision of the Director of Bands and the Assistant Director of Bands, the Color Guard Director will be responsible for designing, choreographing, and teaching for the Marching Saints, Limestone College’s internationally-recognized marching band, as well as Limestone Independent, Limestone College’s Independent winter guard program. The Color Guard Director will work with the Assistant Director of Bands to fulfill the recruiting goals of Limestone College and the Department of Music.

Position Requirements- The successful applicant will demonstrate a history of performance that includes experience in marching band (high school and/or college) and DCI/DCA drum corps and/or WGI winter guard, as well as experience in instructing students with history ranging from beginner to advanced. The applicant should have experience performing on, instructing, and writing for flag, rifle, sabre, and dance. Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach (#624)

Job Overview- The successful candidate under the direction of the Head Coach, will assist in running the inter-collegiate tennis program at Limestone.  You will help instruct and develop student athletes; assist in making strategic decisions in contest situations; monitor the attendance of the strength and conditioning of the athletes; assist in the overall recruiting strategy; and handle administrative responsibilities associated with the program operations, including weekly practice logs, monthly credit card statements, supervising team managers and stringers, recruiting logistics and planning. The successful candidate must be able to drive a 15 passenger van. You will also assist in fundraising efforts and running special events.

Requirements- A Bachelor degree in a related field is required for this position along with a preferred one to three years of high school or collegiate coaching experience and collegiate playing experience. Communicate and work in partnership with athletic trainers to provide an integrated program of injury prevention, reconditioning and performance training. Implement and enforce all rules, policies and procedures with regard to the Strength and Conditioning department. Assist with other sport programs and the day to day operation of the training facility as required by the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance.

Requirements- Masters degree is required from an accredited four year institution in Sports Sciences or related field. This person will need knowledge of the rules and safety requirements for strength and conditioning.  This includes but is not limited to teaching technique and safety measures for student-athletes competing at the collegiate level.  Certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association or other nationally accepted strength and conditioning certifying organization. Experience in the field of strength and conditioning at the collegiate level as well as knowledge of athletic injury prevention and treatment/modification protocols is preferred.
