Ms. Siarris has taught hundreds of singers from the young beginner, to the young professional, to the mature choir singer. Her students participate in voice competitions and recitals, are top singers in their high school choruses and leaders in their church choirs. They earn leading roles in opera and musicals; have earned numerous scholarship awards, and many continue to be college voice majors and music educators themselves.
Serving on the faculties of Lawson Academy, Converse College and Spartanburg Community College, Dr. Siarris maintains membership in National Association of Teachers of Singing and National Federation of Music Clubs. An active performer in opera, music theatre, and solo recitals, Dr. Siarris currently sings with soprano trio, "The Blonde, the Brunette, and the Redhead." She is the mother of three boys and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
Teaching Mission: Good common sense vocal health and singing is my goal for students. Your body is your instrument; therefore, care should be taken of that instrument. Developing students will learn good, strong techniques for the voice that will keep them singing for their lifetime. In addition to vocal production, students will be instructed in music, music interpretation, foreign language pronunciations and translations, audition techniques, stage presence and other aspects of song presentation.
