|Steven Hopkins Bio|
A native of Waterboro, ME, Steve graduated from Massabesic High School in the top of his class, while earning letters in both Soccer and Baseball.
A 2005 graduate of Plymouth State University, Mr. Hopkins received a B.S. in Athletic Training from the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation while earning academic honors. While earning a M.A. from East Tennessee State University in Kinesiology and Sport Studies with an emphasis in Sport Management, Mr. Hopkins worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Baseball and Women’s Soccer Teams. In the four years to follow, Steven worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) for Tennessee Technological University and Furman University working with a variety of teams including Men’s Basketball, Football, Men’s and Women’s Golf, and Baseball. In addition, Mr. Hopkins served as a Preceptor for various CAATE Accredited Athletic Training Programs. Steven jointed the Limestone College faculty in 2010. He teaches a wide variety of courses including Fundamentals of Athletic Training, Rehabilitation of Athletic Training, Pharmacology, Sports Nutrition, and First Aid/CPR. His research interests include the running kinematics of distance runners with lower extremity overuse injuries and the biomechanics of female distance runners with hip and/or patellofemoral pain.
Steven interests include running and weight training.
